Court Seeking For Tinubu Disqualification: The Federal High Court in Abuja ruled that a group of people cannot ask the government to disqualify Sen. Bola Tinubu from running in the 2023 presidential election.
Justice Binta Nyako said that the plaintiff, the Incorporated Trustees of Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International, didn’t have the legal right to bring the case.
The locus of the applicant’s authority is a key issue because anything they do without legal authority will be invalid and will be set aside.
Justice Nyako ruled that the plaintiff, who wasn’t a member of a political party and wasn’t involved in the election process, didn’t have a legal right to file the lawsuit.
The judge said that the plaintiff was abusing the court system by filing multiple lawsuits asking for the same thing.
The judge in the case said that the same thing happened back in December 2022. The case was dismissed.
