An-ex militant who is an operator of a multi-million Naira private security agency, Chief Bibopere Ajube has described as counterproductive any move by Buhari to stop the on-going amnesty program in the Niger Delta. He went on to state that over 30,000 youths of the region were benefitting from the program warning that the ex-militants may return to the creek if they are disengaged.
Ajube therefore urged Buhari to continue with the programme in view of the importance of the area to the economy of the nation. He advised the incoming president to disregard activities of some elements who disguise under the struggle to perpetrate criminal, selfish and anti-people operations.
