Moves by President Jonathan to hand over mantle of leadership by May 28 may not go down well with the All Progressives Congress, as a clash is about to ensue between the outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) about the new date.
The APC said the party is rejecting the new date as it considered it a trap from security point of view. The party further stated that there is no one to account for the hours between when Jonathan proposed to handover and the morning when General Buhari will be officially sworn in as the President. Sebastian Hon, a SAN said, the best and the most appropriate thing is for President Jonathan to hand over at 12.01am of the morning of May 29, 2015 as he ceases to be president if he does before that date.
