President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari has finally short-listed 18 persons across Nigeria's six geo-political zones, who will make up his transition committee ahead of the May 29 handover date. This is coming after weeks of consultation and evaluation. The transition committee made up of of three persons from each of the six geo-political zones, with the South-west however having four persons is to be headed by Malam Ahmed Joda.
Sources said Senator Bola Tinubu had a significant input in the choice made by Buhari across the zones. Dr. Doyin Salami will serve as Vice-chairman while Malam Adamu Adamu will be the secretaas of the secretary. Other members of the committee are Mr. Boss Mustapha, Malam Muhammad Hayatuddin, Alhaji Abubakar Malami (SAN), Dr. Tam David West, Governor Rotimi Amaechi and Chief John Oyegun.
