The vice-chancellor of University of Ibadan, Professor Isaac Folorunso Adewole has set up an investigative panel to look into the alleged negligence by the University Health Center which caused the death of Alaran Mayowa Muslihudeen, a 200 level student of Human Kinetics department of the institution. The Summary had earlier reported that the students, yesterday took to the streets to protest the death of their colleague which they alleged was caused by lackadaiscal attitude of the University health workers in attending to Mayowa when he was rushed to the clininic after he suffered an Asthmatic attack while watching Champions League Semifinal clash between Bayern Munich and Barcelona FC.
The Vice-Chancellor in a text message said: “We recorded an unfortunate loss and decided to set up a panel to investigate. Please wait for the panel to submit a report to Management. Please bear with us in our moment of grief”.
