On the 1st of July 2024, My partner, and I we are beaming with pride and gratitude as we complete our community service project in Primary School Ikot Ambit in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, West Africa, the theme was 'Enhancing Academic Excellence in Rural Primary Schools'!
This journey has been an incredible experience, and I'm honored to have been a part of it. We set out to make a difference in the lives of young minds in rural areas, and I'm thrilled to say that we've achieved just that.
This project was sponsored by my partner and I, through this project, we:
1. Provided educational resources and materials such as YALI customize exercise books, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and rulers.
2. We lecture the pupils on Leadership and Etiquette.
3. We encourage the teachers to mentored them and instilled confidence in their abilities.
The impact has been profound, and the smiles on the children's faces say it all!
This project reminded us that:
1. Education is a fundamental right, not a privilege.
2. Every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of location or background.
3. Community efforts can drive meaningful change.
I am grateful to YALI Regional Leadership Centre West Africa, Accra for giving me this platform to give back to my community.
I am grateful to my partner, for her tireless efforts and unwavering dedication and support. Our selflessness has made a lasting impact on these young lives.
As we celebrate this milestone, let's continue to advocate for education as a catalyst for growth, equality, and social mobility. Together, we can create a brighter future for all!
