Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command successfully intervened to prevent a 59-year-old man from committing suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge on Friday.
The RRS announced the rescue via a post on its official X handle,
@rrsLagos767. The post indicated that the incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. during routine patrols.
CSP Shola Jejeloye, the RRS commander, provided counseling to the individual and arranged for him to be placed in protective custody until family members could arrive.
