The Jankoliko and Kedike singer, Chidinma Ekile, who recently dropped the visuals for her single with M.I, Lorry, has disclosed plans for her forthcoming album. According to her the album is almost ready, and would have been released in September, stressing that she opted not to
due to the volume of albums set to drop in the month.
“I have been on this for a while now. The last time I dropped an album, it’s been years now,” she said, adding that “over eight artistes are set to drop their LPs this month, with Iyanya and Orezi, and Samklef already celebrating the release of theirs. Jesse Jagz, Davido, and many others are finalising plans to release their projects.”
She added, “There should be an album this year, and like I said, we have been on it for a while. But then September is kinda choked already, lots of artistes are dropping albums. If it doesn’t drop this September, I will probably move it to towards the end of the year.”

appearances from Sound Sultan, Tha Suspect, Olamide and Muna. She won the Best Female West African Act at the 2012 Kora Awards, and performed Kedike at the ceremony.
She released Bless My Hustle featuring Phyno, Kite and Jolly, three singles off the upcoming album on June 10, 2013, and followed with Oh Baby which was released on September 14, 2013. Not rest her oars Chidinma, on January 29, 2014, released another version of Oh Baby (You & I) featuring Flavour Nabania.
