Indications emerged Tuesday night, that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), may arraign the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Siswan in court Wednesday.
New Telegraph gathered from highly placed sources, that Suswam and his former Finance Commissioner, Mr. Omodachi Okolobia, may be prosecuted for allegedly diverting “proceeds of the sale of shares owned by the Benue State government and Benue Investment and Property Company Limited.”
A highly places source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said: “Barring any last minute hitch, the EFCC will formally arraign a former governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Torwua Suswan before an Abuja Court tomorrow.”
He added that: “The anti graft agency had on Monday October 2, 2015 filed a 9-count charge bordering on (alleged) money laundering to the tune of N3.1billion at a Federal High Court, Abuja.”
