Muhammadu Buhari on Friday honoured seven personnel of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force for exhibiting gallantry in the fight against Boko Haram.
Mr. Buhari, who honoured the officers with medals at the Yola International Airport, charged them to sustain their gallantry.
The president called on the officers to take the job of liberating the country from insurgency with courage and determination, assuring that the federal government would honour bravery at all times.
Among those honoured were two army officers and an air force officer as well as three soldiers who sustained injuries while fighting against Boko Haram.
The three injured soldiers, who were brought to the airport on wheelchairs, were commended for staking their lives for their country.
While wishing them quick recovery, the president assured that adequate medical attention would be given to them.
PREMIUM TIMES gathered that the honoured officers and men have been on the battle field since the beginning of the fight against insurgency.
