President Muhammadu Buhari may be summoned by the Nigerian senate over the incessant fuel scarcity in the country.
This, according to Linda Ikeji, was a motion presented by Eyinnaya Abaribe, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senator representing Abia South in the senate today.
He asked the House summon President Buhari who is also Nigeria’s minister petroleum, to come to the senate to explain the reason for the lingering fuel scarcity in the country.
According to him, since Buhari is in charge of Nigeria’s petroleum resources, he should be made to answer all questions bothering on same sector.
Nigerians have continued to groan over the hardship which the continuous scarcity of fuel in the country has caused, and have increasingly asked for a quick solution to it before it goes way out of hand.
As at the time of filing this reports, the president and the state minister for petroleum resources, Ibe Kachikwu are both in Iran for the 3rd Gas Exporting Countries’ Forum (GECF).
The pair are expected back in the country later today.
