No Agreement With Barcelona For Osimhen - Agent
Golden Eaglet star Victor Osimhen would not be joining last season’s treble winners Barcelona according to his agent Shira Yussuf.
Osimhen who shone during the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup with 10 goals has been linked to a host of clubs including Tottenham, Barcelona, Liverpool.
His agent has however refuted claims he has agreed a deal in principle to sign for Barcelona.
He told Sports Day: “Barcelona has not offered one million euros for Osimhen, It was funny reading the report because they have not made contact with us.
He said: “There is nothing official from Barcelona or their representatives. When the Tottenham Hotspur news came out, it wasn’t from us and nobody should be worried.
“We know the clubs talking to us and Barcelona is not one of them. If Barcelona is really interested and approach us, we will listen to them.”
Shira Yusuf has also denied a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for the youngster.
Meanwhile, Coach Samson Siasia has selected Osihmen and 20 other players to represent Nigeria at the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
Other top names in the list are Turkey based defensive midfielder Azubuike Okechukwu who is leading a list of 3 foreign professionals, Liverpool’s Taiwo Awoniyi and CS Sfaxien of Tunisia’s Ajayi Junior.
