The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said the 2015 Holy Ghost Congress will bring revival, relief and release for all.
Adeboye spoke yesterday at the Special Monthly Thanksgiving at RCCG Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
The Congress, “Floodgates of Heaven”, will bring together millions of Christians and feature prayers, drama, bible teaching and prophetic ministrations.
According to him, the Congress would bring revival to the nation economically, politically and recovery of lost things.
He noted that when there is flood, dust and dirt are wiped away and freshness and beauty come in.
“Christians should expect all kinds of miracles as God has promised the unusual and unexpected for participants,” he said.
Adeboye, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, said for anyone to receive from God he must have faith and confidence in Him.
He added that the challenges Nigerians are going through are temporal as no season is permanent and God will show up in due course.
His words: “Nigerians should be patient and trust God for the new administration as it is working to fight corruption and give them the desired growth and development.
“The new government is laying the foundation for a brighter future for Nigeria.
“The process could be tedious, cumbersome and stressful but there will be light at the end of the tunnel as we wait in prayer.”
Adeboye’s wife, Pastor Folu, urged Christians to continue to shine as light in this dark world.
In her sermon, she noted that light symbolises joy, strength, progress and a new beginning, which God has promised those who remain connected to Him and his word.
