President Muhammadu Buhari has on September 14, Wednesday returned to Abuja after Sallah celebration at his home-town Daura in Katsina state. The leader of the nation, who was seen off by Governor Aminu Masari and other senior state government officials, departed Katsina airport at about 11 o’clock Wednesday morning.
The Minister of FCT Muhammed Muse Bello, the Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris and other government officials welcomed President Buhari in Abuja. Buhari was in Daura to celebrate Eid el Kabir or the feast of sacrifice with his kith and kin a practice he observes for a long time. The Nigerian leader has been invited to speak at the 5th anniversary event of the Open Government Partnership at the United Nations General Assembly on September 20, 2016. The president, who has been criticized for so many abroad trips, will leave Nigeria again next week.
