– He committed the act in the mist of about 50 people

– He was immediately surrounded and arrested by the police

A 68 year old Briton on Wednesday, October 12, has been fined N1.7 million for defecating at an Italian airport, just after disembarking the plane.

According to Mirror, he removed his trousers and defecated on the asphalt at Brindisi airport, between the aircraft and the gate to the airport.

The RyanAir passenger who flew from Manchester to Italy was apparently unable to wait to use the airport toilet.

The Italian police termed his act as offensive, especially as it was done in the full glare of close to 50 people, before he was arrested by the police.

He was unable to give an explanation for the act, and was described as being in a “state of mild agitation”.

He stated that he received a fine for €3,333 which is N1.7 million a few days after the incident while on holiday in Lecce which was paid the following day.

According to a local newspaper, Brindisi Report, the incident is the second involving British tourists in the last month.

Meanwhile Oredo magistrates’ court in Benin saw some drama on Tuesday, October 11 when Abudullahi Muhammed, an 18-year-old offender defecated on his body in court.

When his case was about to be called, Muhammed excreted on his body, in the resulting commotion, he put on his trouser and took to his heels.

Sergeant Aigbochie Iruonagbe the investing police officer on the case had to call for help from other policemen to chase down and apprehend the foul smelling young man.
