It is already public knowledge that President Muhammadu Buhari was Nigeria’s military president from January 1, 1984 to August 27, 1985.
Buhari’s elevation then was Nigeria’s 5th attempt at military rule which went to last for almost three decades.
While Buhari was the head of state, Late Tunde Idiagbon was then the chief of staff Supreme Headquarters (equivalent to vice president).
The military administration of Buhari was anchored on the diagnosis of indiscipline and corruption among the leaders and the led in Nigeria.

Nineteen months after the government came to power, Buhari’s colleagues in the military struck, installing General Ibrahim Babangida as Nigeria’s 6th military head of state.
