Japan was the last country to surrender during the second world war. In other to force Japan to surrender, America hit two Japanese cities (Hiroshima and Nagasaki) with one atomic bomb each that resulted in catastrophic lost of lives. The bombs killed 90,000–146,000 people in Hiroshima and 39,000–80,000 in Nagasaki; roughly half of the deaths in each city occurred on the first day. Below is one of the Atomic bombs.
