The popular Computer Village, home to thousands of sellers of computer/technology products and described as the largest ICT accessory market in Africa, is set to get a new home.
The Lagos State Government once again reiterated its intention to relocate the market to a new home back in 2015, stating that it needed about N20 billion to get the new location ready.
The Government has now finally taken a stand on the matter, disclosing at the ongoing 2017 Ministerial Press Briefing to commemorate Akinwunmi Ambode’s second year in office that the market will now be moved to ICT Park Katangowa in Agbado/OkeOdo.
According to the Government, the relocation will curb environmental degradation, housing stock deficit and traffic congestion in the Ikeja axis where the market is.
