It is now or never for Eagles
The only result that will keep alive the hopes of the Super Eagles in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign is victory, which they are condemned to get in today’s match away against the Red Devils of Congo at the Stade Municipal.

Eagles have a paltry four points from four matches, three less than the Congolese and four adrift of South Africa, with just two matches left to play. After today’s matches, the deciding games hold November 19, with the Eagles hosting South Africa, who might qualify should they beat Sudan with an odd goal today while Congo travel to face an uninspired Sudanese team in Khartoun.
As the reigning champions of Africa’s premium soccer tournament, failute to qualify for the next tournament will be seen as a monumental setback for a team, who only last summer, were part of the 32 teams who battled for honours at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Having won the tournament three times, a Nigerian ouster in Congo is almost imaginable for football purists, who are still at a loss as to how the Eagles, found themselves in this mess after losing 3-2 to Congo in Calabar, drawing goalless in South Africa and labouring to a 3-2 defeat of Sudan in Abuja.
So for the Super Eagles, only a victory will do as Nigerians chorus, “all we are saying, give us this day.”
