The acting chairman of the economic and financial crimes commission Ibrahim Magu has announced that his agency is currently investigating governors in the country, both serving and past.
The AC of the anti-graft agency announced this at a press conference in Abuja, he said they have recovered in excess of N980b in the last five years.
Magu also stated that they have interviewed accomplices of a few governors suspected for graft and he believes they are making progress. But disclosing the names of the governors will only jeopardize their investigations.
He also said they have recovered several assets such as: hotels, oil vessels, schools, trucks, filling stations, private jets, and many others in the past five years.
He said that regarding Orji Uzor Kalu, that they will go back to court, that the matter has not been concluded.
