President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed former Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi as Special Assistant on sports.
The news was made public by the ministry of youth and sports development through a press release on Thursday.
According to the statement, Amokachi’s appointment was issued on August 17 and signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
The statement quoted the appointment letter which read, “I am pleased to inform you that Mohammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Special Assistant on Sports. The appointment takes effect from the 11th of August, 2020.”
Amokachi on the other hand has so far had a rather impressive career, both as a player and afterwards.
