Lies, Lies, About IPOB's Orders


It is becoming very clear that all the stories we hear about IPOB issuing one order after the other , are indeed the handiwork of fifth columnists exploiting the situation in the South East to deepen ethnic divisions in the country for self-serving interests.

Incontrovertible sources that have interacted closely with MNK lately have revealed that he confirmed to them that any instructions purportedly coming out of IPOB which do not emanate from his associates in Switzerland, should be discountenanced.

It was revealed that concerned leaders of the South East had approached him in his DSS gulag recently, to prevail on him to put an end to the heightened insecurity in the region as well as reverse the prevailing sit-at-home order. MNK reportedly washed his hands off all allusions to his involvement in the current insecurity pervading the region, insisting that the only authentic source of information from IPOB is from his unit in Switzerland.

This assertion by MNK has apparently unsettled many IPOB pretenders and put paid to all the lies being peddled by diverse groups pursuing apparently divisive interests aimed at pitching the South East against other regional blocs in the country. Their now unmasked motive was to entrench the belief that MNK was behind the excesses being perpetrated by a myriad of clandestine groups masquerading as unknown gunmen or ESN, when indeed those sponsoring these short-sighted hooligans are indeed of questionable origins across the Nigerian landscape.

Little wonder that that the blood-thirsty gangsters that had held Anambra State hostage before the recent gubernatorial elections have since recoiled into their shells as the suspicious public was beginning to become more inquisitive of the mindless killings and inexplicable reasons behind them. One of such killings was that of Chike Akunyili, husband of former Information Minister, Dora Akunyili.

It has become apparent that he was carefully selected by his assailants to make desired impact and not because he offended anyone.

Indeed the wool is beginning to fall off the eyes of the hitherto gullible populace in the South East moreso as their once thriving businesses have taken a big hit lately. For a people renowned for their dislike of injustice as evidenced in the 1929 Aba Women's riot, Enugu coal miners revolt of 1945 and the Otokoto riots of 1996, it may not be long before IPOB exploiters and pretenders bite the dust.
