There is actually a shortage of about 80,000 truck drivers (or national and international tours) in Germany. Every year, about 30,000 drivers retire due to age, but there are not even 15,000 new drivers coming into the workforce. The same applies to bus drivers.
However, this problem does not only exist in Germany but throughout Europe. In addition, thousands of experienced drivers for international routes are being lost due to the war in Ukraine.
Requirements: At least 5 years of experience as a truck or bus driver, minimum age of 24 years, excellent reputation, flexibility, stress resistance, willingness to work.
A typical job advertisement in Germany, using the example of a driver for mineral oil transport, looks like this:
You supply petrol stations with fuel in 2-shift service. You are responsible for loading and unloading. Clean, safe, and punctual work in compliance with legal and labor regulations is a matter of course for you.
